Permatile Concrete Products prides itself on the longevity of its workers.  Many employees have worked with us for over forty years, and several employees still working well after retirement age. We have several fourth-generation family members that have come into the business and are involved in the daily operation of the company. They have taken on management and leadership responsibilities, ensuring that quality, precision, and excellent service continue to be at the forefront of Permatile’s mission.

OUR HISTORY

Our company was founded in 1964. Over the years the company has diversified into several franchised products including Evergreen retaining walls, Cable Concrete erosion control mats, Thermal-Krete precast basement and wall panels, The HYSPAN precast bridge, as well as numerous specialty engineered products of our own design.

The company began with one building housing the machine-made products and has expanded to over 100,000 square feet of production space, under crane capacities of up to 50 tons, with each building heated, giving us year-round production capacity. We run our own fleet of trucks plus countless out source haulers to help service our customer’s time requirements.

OUR IN-HOUSE DESIGN STAFF

Permatile’s unique design-build engineering department has many years of experience in the concrete pipe and precast concrete products business. Our knowledge of precast products, on-site design, forming, and manufacturing capabilities allow us to visualize a custom project.

Our in-house designers believe “If it can be precast … we can precast it!” We work with clients to find solutions to their unique needs.

OUR INNOVATION

The hands-on precision work of our ancestors has given us the opportunity to think outside the box.  We regularly take on highly specialized, out-of-the-ordinary precast projects. We like to say, “If you can draw it, we can build it!”

OUR CREDENTIALS

We were among the first to participate in the Quality Assurance programs of the National Precast Concrete Association and the American Concrete Pipe Association. We have been certified by five State Highway Departments and worked in nine states. Permatile is one of the few companies that test each section of our manhole and sanitary sewer pipe production to assure air-tightness.

OUR COMMITMENT TO QUALITY

Quality matters to Permatile. Everyone at Permatile, from our newest employee to those who have been here for decades, knows that quality is our first priority.

We take pride in the fact that we are among a few select plants in North America that have been certified by the National Precast Concrete Association.  To maintain our NPCA-certified credentials, we must pass periodic, unannounced on-site certification inspections by an independent, nationally accredited engineering firm.

Permatile has consistently scored in the top 1/10 of 1% of all precast manufacturers in North America.
