Concrete Pipe Week takes place September 20–26 this year, bringing attention to the concrete pipe industry and the people who design, manufacture, and install the products used in infrastructure projects across the country. Permatile is proud to take part again this year as a longtime member of the American Concrete Pipe Association.

It is with heavy hearts that we share the passing of our founder, Charles Joseph “Charlie Joe” Rainero. He passed away peacefully on Sunday, August 9, 2026, surrounded by family. He was 88.

The cover story of the Q1 2026 issue of Precast Today, published by the National Precast Concrete Association, features a Permatile project: the emergency replacement of a washed-out section of Route 321 in Butler, Tennessee, after Hurricane Helene.

Dr. Yvan Beliveau – Professor of Building Construction, College of Architecture & Urban Studies at the Myers Lawson School of construction at Virginia Tech brings his building construction class of students to tour Permatile Concrete each Fall to see how precast concrete products are manufactured and learn a little about different products and their importance in today’s infrastructure industry.
