John Rainero Named 2026-27 Chairman of the American Concrete Pipe Association
April 16, 2026
We’re proud to share that John V. Rainero, P.E., our Vice President of Construction and Engineering, has been named Chairman of the Board of the American Concrete Pipe Association (ACPA) for 2026-27.
John’s appointment was confirmed at the ACPA’s Annual Business Meeting, held March 22-24 in Point Clear, Alabama. He is the 119th Chairman in the association’s history.
The Rainero family has a long history of service to the industry. Charles Rainero, who founded Permatile in 1964, served as President of the National Precast Concrete Association in 1987. Mimi Rainero Coles served as NPCA Chairman of the Board in 2013. John’s chairmanship of the ACPA continues that tradition.
In accepting the role, John said, “There is truly little we cannot accomplish together.”
ACPA President Steven Hawkins, AIA, pointed to John’s technical expertise as a professional engineer and his background in a family-owned business as strengths he brings to the role.
John will lead an Executive Committee that includes Vice Chair David Marchbanks (Gossett Concrete Pipe), Treasurer Eric Jensen (Jensen Infrastructure), Secretary Bruce Spratz (Rinker Materials), and Immediate Past Chair Mark McCormick (Dunn Utilities). The ACPA also welcomed two new Board members, Bruce Spratz of Rinker Materials and Eric Varnadoe of Oldcastle Infrastructure.
The news was also picked up by the Virginia Transportation Construction Alliance (VTCA). Read the full ACPA announcement here.
Congratulations, John. We’re proud of you.
