Virginia Tech Architectural Students Tour Permatile Facility

Dr. Yvan Beliveau – Professor of Building Construction, College of Architecture & Urban Studies at the Myers Lawson School of construction at Virginia Tech brings his building construction class of students to tour Permatile Concrete each Fall to see how precast concrete products are manufactured and learn a little about different products and their importance in today’s infrastructure industry.

Late last year, Permatile again hosted Yvan and almost 20 of his students for a tour of Permatile’s Bristol facility and lunch.

Students got an up-close look at the range of products made at the Bristol facility, including concrete pipe, manholes, box culverts, retaining wall systems, and precast bridge sections.

It’s always a pleasure hosting Dr. Beliveau and his class, and we look forward to doing it again this fall.
